Dogfish Head Brewery is a fast-growing brewing company that was founded in the year 1995 by Sam Calagione. Dogfish Head Brewery produces different styles of beer, including American IPA, Imperial IPA, Pumpkin Beer, American Brown Ale, and Wheat Beer, among others. The 90 Minute IPA, one of Dogfish Head’s year-round brews, has earned a very impressive overall score of 95 on BeerAdvocate (based on over 16,000 ratings). The brewery also has many other beers that are highly rated on BeerAdvocate. Each beer in Dogfish Head’s year-round beer lineup has less than 10% ABV, with the 90 Minute IPA having an ABV of 9%. However, the brewery tends to increase the alcohol content on their rotating/seasonal brews, the highest one having 18.3% ABV. Most of their beers have a high ABV and therefore have a high calorie content. For instance, a 12 oz. serving of the 90 Minute IPA (which has a 9% ABV) contains 294 calories. But they also have beers with lower calorie content.
